Dave and I booked this trip as our honeymoon. We've been waiting since our wedding in August to come here. Last night we decided to celebrate our three and a half month anniversary by having a romantic dinner in. Unfortunately it was too windy to sit back out on our patio, so we had to dine in our room. Dave and I dressed for the occasion in our very best holiday attire.
Jorge arranged the entire evening. At 7:30, our first course arrived. Probably one of the best salads I've had. Some type of spring mix, in a balsamic vinaigrette with pear, strawberries, almonds, cranberries, and goat cheese rolled in sesame, served in a baked parmesan bowl. This alone could have been my dinner. But then the next course came, lobster and filet mignon with vegetables and quality double stuffed potato. I think there was a pound of bacon around my steak
Dave missed out on the lobster but enjoyed his meal nonetheless
For dessert of course chocolate fondue. La Marina's version of it, a lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Can you say yum? Well I did and so did my food baby. I'd been so happy earlier in the days I sat poolside in my bikini! (thanks to IP- which I'll get myself acquainted with on return.)
We enjoyed a lovely carmenere with our dinner, Casillero del Diablo. It was perfect!
The entire evening was perfect!
