American thanksgiving in Mazatlan

No pavo for me tonight

22 °C

Although it is on the menu, it wasn't on my plate! Instead I feasted on pumpkin flower soup, gorgonzolla steak and corn pie and Trio (merlot, carmenere and cabernet sauvignon). I must say this is the best meal I've had so far. We danced and sang along to our favourite Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond and Everly Brothers! We also enjoyed the best sipping tequila I've ever had. Our Rigo explained it was horseshoe Resparado. Perhaps if I'd had less vino tinto,I would have understood more about my tequila lesson.

Our Jorge arranged the dinner for us. Truthfully, it far exceeded my expectations! I love these occasions to get dressed up on holidays. It is so easy here! Sandals, beach dress, and wash and go hair! No nylons and thank goodness no spanx! That's what I'm thankful for!

On a more serious note we went around the table and said what we were all grateful for and I realized how very lucky we all are! We have it all and are truly blessed.

On an even more serious note, I've learned not to blog after tequila!
